SmoothLase® (skin tightening)

How Does LipLase® Work?
LipLase uses the efficacy and precision of lasers to enhance the appearance of the lips by stimulating the body to produce more collagen. Collagen is the component of the skin that gives the skin tissue structure and volume. The LipLase lasers target the deeper skin layers where collagen lives and uses heat to activate new collagen to form. In the lips, more collagen means fuller, smoother and more youthful lips.
LipLase is performed within the mouth as well as outside on the lips. No needles are involved and it’s a very comfortable 30 minute procedure for most. Some heat is felt from the laser but otherwise there are minimal to no side effects like the bruising, swelling, redness or other reactions often experienced by those who receive fillers.
The results from LipLase are more gradual since they rely on the body’s own natural process. Subtle differences are noticeable within the first few weeks but full results may not be obvious until about 6 weeks. To maintain the look you will want to complete touch-up treatments about every 3 months.

NightLase®
At The Dental Standard we know how vital a good night’s sleep is for optimal health and wellbeing. This is why we use Fotona’s NightLase® therapy to increase our patient’s quality of sleep.
NightLase is a non-invasive, patient-friendly laser treatment that reduces snoring and the effects of mild to moderate sleep apnea.
How Does NightLase® Work?
NightLase works by tightening the tissues inside the mouth with gentle, laser pulses. The laser penetrates the oral tissue with heat causing contraction of collagen making the tissue tighter and less “floppy”.
Optimal results occur with 3 treatment sessions separated by 6 weeks each. Results last for about 1 year at which time the therapy can be repeated if desired.
